天坛（北京中轴线南端），始建于明永乐十八年（1420年），中国现存规模最大的皇家祭祀建筑群，世界建筑艺术珍贵遗产，核心为祈年殿、圜丘坛、皇穹宇，承载古人“天人合一”的宇宙观，是皇家祭天、祈愿风调雨顺、五谷丰登、家国安宁的圣地，其建筑以“九”为吉数、蓝色琉璃瓦象征天穹，尽显皇家庄严与神圣。 The Temple of Heaven (south end of Beijing’s central axis) was founded in 1420 AD during the 18th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. It is the largest existing imperial sacrificial complex in China and a precious heritage of world architectural art. Its core includes the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Circular Mound Altar and the Imperial Vault of Heaven, carrying the ancient concept of “harmony between man and nature”. It is a sacred place where emperors offered sacrifices to heaven and prayed for good weather, abundant grain harvests and national peace. Its buildings take “nine” as an auspicious number and blue glazed tiles symbolize the sky, showing the imperial solemnity and sanctity thoroughly.
